Thomas and Marco learn and contribute
Two paid interns have graced the halls of Elements Manufacturing in the past year to learn and contribute to the manufacturing process. It’s a great fit for Elements, a learning organization that is active in learning initiatives in Santa Cruz County.

Our first intern, Thomas Schumacher, is majoring in furniture design major at the and joined Elements in 2018. Thomas brought great energy, skill and ideas and was able to research and design a new product quickly and with a lot of 3D modelling flair. Then, in early-2019, Marco Martinez joined our team and helped us design our CAD blocks as well as orthagonal drawings that our drafting team now uses on a daily basis. “Having Thomas and Marco on staff was a real win-win. They learned design and manufacturing skills while the company gained some great energy, designs and drafting tools” said David Wright, Director of Operations at Elements.
